practice.
As orthodontic specialists in Glen Burnie, Owings Mills, Reisterstown, MD, we are dedicated to helping you or members
of your family understand how this special care can improve the way you look
and feel about yourself.
To practice as an orthodontist, a dentist must successfully complete
several years of additional training in an orthodontic program accredited by
the American Association of Orthodontists. Our doctors are also active
members in the A.A.O. and frequently attend continuing education courses
relating to orthodontics.
You are about to make positive changes in your smile and dental health.
Treatment methods have improved over the years and we practice the most
innovative techniques available today. However, one thing that won’t change
is our desire to make patient care our #1 priority.
We are pleased to announce that
Dr. Jason Shoe D.M.D., M.S.
has recently joined our orthodontic practice.
Dr. Shoe earned his BS in Biology from Penn State University in 2001 with honors from the Schreyer Honors College. Upon graduating from college, Dr. Shoe moved to Boston to pursue his DMD at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Shoe then entered the orthodontics program at the University of Maryland. Throughout college, dental school, and orthodontics residency, Dr. Shoe has been involved in research projects ranging from molecular evolution techniques to date the origin of animals, to potential molecular explanations for breast cancer metastasis to bone, to rating systems for treatment outcome assessment of patients with bilateral cleft lip and palate.
An avid sports fan and a proud supporter of the Nittany Lions, Dr. Shoe and his wife, Diana, enjoy traveling to State College for Penn State football. Dr. Shoe’s other interests include supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, motorsports, do-it-yourself projects such as home and auto repair, and saltwater aquariums.
Dr. Shoe’s wife Diana is originally from Peru and was a medical student prior to moving to the US. Diana has since decided to pursue a career in dentistry and is currently enrolled at the University of Maryland Dental School. Dr. Shoe and his wife reside in Owings Mills.
Dr. Shoe plans to join Drs. Pick and Siegel as a faculty member of the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School, as well as a member of the Johns Hopkins Cleft and Craniofacial team. He looks forward to becoming an active member of the greater Baltimore dental community. He is personally committed to maintaining the quality of care and exceptional service that has been established in our practice.
